Under 12 Online Therapy: Techniques for Disengagement during Sessions Workshop

Dr Esther Cole

Since COVID-19, mental health difficulties in children have increased by 35% in the UK, and there is a shortage of child psychologists and therapists. Wait times for therapy are 6-24 months for Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Devastatingly, it is often the same wait time for children who are high risk.

In-person therapy for a child can be hard to access. Online techniques and solutions for child therapy, as well as indirect consultations with parents and school teachers are effective and have many benefits. Children and families can also work with an online practitioner, as a wait list intervention.

In this workshop we present a number of techniques you can use online; as well as models of therapy delivery drawing on systemic, cognitive-behavioural, behavioural, solution-focused, integrative, narrative approaches and more.

EMBERS®
Menopause-Informed CBT

Simona Stokes

“Generic therapy is enough to help women through menopause.” I used to believe this too. As a CBT psychologist, I assumed the same tools I used with other clients would apply. But I quickly realised that menopause presents a unique set of challenges. It’s not just about hot flashes or mood swings; it’s about the deep intersection of biological, emotional, and life changes that generic therapy doesn’t fully address.

That’s what led me to develop the EMBERS® framework: a holistic, evidence-based approach that integrates 3rd wave CBT, neuroscience, and lifestyle medicine. Over the past three years, I’ve trained mental health professionals across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Europe, and the feedback has been incredible. Many practitioners have shared how the course has transformed their confidence and deepened their understanding of menopause, both personally and professionally.

The EMBERS® Professional Training Programme is now open for booking. This 6-week CPD-accredited course (30 points), running from 4th June to 8th July, is the only UK-accredited training of its kind. Early bird discount ends 21st May and spaces are limited—click the link for details or message me with any questions!

Finding ADHD & Autism Report Writing Overwhelming?

Dr Floriana Reinikis

As a mental health professional, your time is limited—and writing detailed, neurodevelopmental reports can be draining. Maybe you’ve turned to AI tools like Heidi Health for support, only to find:

• No clear templates
• No guidance on how to structure inputs
• Frustrating results: flat tone, disjointed narrative, or missing clinical depth

I’ve been there—so I created a solution.

Over the past 8 months, I’ve written over 70 detailed, neuroaffirming ADHD and Autism reports using Heidi Health. Through this, I’ve developed a set of structured inputs and custom templates that:
• Generate cohesive, high-quality reports aligned with NICE guidelines
• Reflect each client’s lived experience and voice
• Eliminate time spent fixing tone, structure, or correcting AI “hallucinations”

With these tools, your focus stays where it should be: on clinical accuracy.

What’s Available:

🔹 Heidi Health Templates
Custom templates to help you generate high-quality reports with ease
• ADHD and Autism – both Child and Adult versions
• £39 for any single template
• £59 for a bundle of any two

🔹 Heidi Health Webinar Replay
A practical walkthrough showing you how to use the tool effectively
• Learn how to write accurate, neuroaffirming reports quickly
• £50

Let me help you save time, reduce burnout, and still deliver the thorough, person-centred reports your clients deserve.

Ready to get started?
Email me at [email protected] to request the templates and/or the webinar replay.

Associate CBT therapists (BABCP accredited), clinical or counselling psychologists (HCPC registered).

Dr. Maria Tucknott

I am  a senior clinical psychologist and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner (also a consultant in training).

I have a very busy established private practice and getting a lot of referrals. I am delighted to announce I am now taking on associates to work face to face around Hertfordshire.

Associates can be CBT therapists (BABCP accredited), clinical or counselling psychologists (HCPC registered) with experience of working with adults. Ideally the psychologist/therapist would have a specialism working with trauma and be trained in trauma focused therapies such as EMDR, TF-CBT and NET.

The psychologist would find their own therapy room if unable to travel to Hertford and use my room. I will provide referrals, offer flexibility, advertising, peer supervision with my existing associates, and excellent fees.
