Become a Leading Practitioner
“With the help of TPPA, I rebranded my business, stepped fully into private practice, and even wrote a book!
I actually can design a practice or work week that works for me, that does follow my values, and that does make space for me to work in a way that I never could when I worked in the NHS.”
Michaela Thomas, Clinical Psychologist and Founder at The Thomas Connection
You likely got into psychology or people-focused work because you wanted to help people AND shape a working life on your own terms.
You’d love to feel like you’re doing something truly meaningful while earning a comfortable income.
And you’d be excited to bring your expertise to life through programmes, services, communities, teaching, writing, and other original work.
But right now it might feel like you’re on your own, pouring all of your energy into work you’ve already outgrown.
You might be stuck in a place where you’re:
- So busy with one-to-one clients, delivery, seemingly endless admin, and other day-to-day tasks that it’s challenging to find time to develop what comes next
- Wanting to create something beyond one-to-one services but unsure where to start or how to turn your ideas into substantial work
- Wishing your expertise could reach more people without all your income depending on another face-to-face hour
- Battling imposter syndrome, lacking the confidence to leap in a new direction, and wondering if your colleagues will judge you for stepping beyond the professional status quo
- Feeling lost, confused, and overwhelmed about which direction to take and how to change your practice model while still earning a good living
If any of those scenarios resonate for you, I want you to know you’re not alone.
There are a few common (and fixable) issues keeping many experienced practitioners from creating the work they most want to lead...
1- The traditional 'status quo' model
You’ve been led to believe that filling your diary with work, pouring yourself into supporting others, and leaving little time for yourself or your own ideas is the right way to build a practice. “Just be more efficient, have better self care, and it won’t be so draining!” say the gurus.
Instead, with the right work, support, and structures, you can start working in a regenerative way that gives you energy instead of draining it.
2- No space for your ideas to mature
There are SO many things you wish you could create, but you don’t know which way to go, so you stall and keep spinning your wheels.
With our guidance, you can create the mental space, structure, and trajectory to decide what matters now and keep moving.
3- No support or community
There’s always pressure to keep doing things the way they’ve always been done, and it’s very challenging to make big changes on your own (wondering who’s watching and judging you.)
When you’re surrounded by other thoughtful practitioners who are breaking the mould alongside you, you can stay with your boldest ideas and pursue them more confidently.
We address all of these (and so much more) in The Psychology Practice Accelerator, so you can develop yourself, your ideas, and your practice with the structure and immersive support to reach your most inspiring goals.
Consider how incredible it would be to have…
- A practice model that allows you to earn a comfortable living with less dependence on face-to-face hours
- A distinctive body of work that represents your values, draws on your depth of expertise, and helps you become sought out for work you’re passionate about
- Confidence to put yourself out there, knowing that your programmes and services are genuinely helping people and building your professional credibility
- Freedom and mental space for your ideas to mature, whether that means writing books, developing programmes, creating a methodology, starting a podcast, or something not yet imagined
- Income streams that allow you to take time off and be present for the important moments with family and friends
A place where you and your ideas can mature into leading, sought after work.
You're Invited to Join
The Psychology Practice Accelerator®
A 9-month personal, professional, and practice development programme for psychologists, therapists, highly credentialed coaches and facilitators ready to become Leading Practitioners
Inside TPPA you’ll challenge the traditional ways of working that limit practitioners' growth through our
Leading Practitioner Development Model
The Leading Practitioner Development Model helps you shift in 3 essential ways:
-
Develop the Practitioner
Many practitioners arrive after spending years inside demanding or constraining professional systems. We help you strengthen your self-belief, develop Self leadership, and create a greater sense of safety as you make different decisions, alongside a connected community of practitioners on a similar path.
You’ll learn to recognise and loosen the inherited roles, rules, and ways of working that have sometimes left you feeling trapped or constrained.
-
Develop the Work & Practice
Design programmes, services, methods, and other original work that give life to your practice and help restore you, rather than extracting the life out of you to achieve maximum efficiency.
You’ll create a coherent range of offers that helps your expertise reach more people and organisations, gives you back time, and supports a comfortable income.
-
Lead the Work
Build a practice that feels deeply meaningful and connected to your true values. You’ll develop your visibility and presence in ways that feel purposeful and contained rather than shallow and self-promotional.
You’ll feel stronger within yourself and guided by a mission that expands your leadership, professional authority, and contribution to people and communities.
Want to follow in these practitioners' footsteps?
"I don't think I would have got to where I did in such a short amount of time without the guidance of TPPA”
Dr Emma Offord
Practice Director & Clinical Psychologist at Divergent Life. Host of This Voice is Mine podcast
“It’s been a journey of self-discovery and pushing the limits of what could be.”
Dr Vicki Uwannah
Chartered Counselling Psychologist, Dr Vicki Liberty Therapies
You’ll transform yourself, your practice (and your belief in what’s possible) - with TPPA’s unique combination of
Curriculum + Coaching + Community
Not only will you get access to world-class training designed specifically for your unique needs in the field of psychology.
You’ll also have someone on hand to help you with every step of developing your ideas, practice, and professional direction.
- Need help shaping a programme or method that’s still taking form? No problem.
- Wondering how to bring the different strands of your expertise together? You’re covered.
- Feeling scared to own the big idea you really want to pursue? We’ve got you.
Whether you need practical structure or deep support for your Self leadership, we’re with you every step of the way.
Your development follows a proven structure.
When you join TPPA, you’ll move through a clear journey while applying it to your own starting point, ideas, and goals.
You get a shared structure and a customised experience, supported by our online training and resources, so you always have a sense of movement and know what to work on next.
1. Getting Off the Treadmill
Create the capacity and mental space to develop the work that has been waiting for your attention.
You’ll redesign your time, stabilise the transition from 1:1 to more diversified income, and loosen the unwritten rules that kept you stuck in depleting work.
2. Your Distinctive Edge
Identify the perspective, strengths, and depth of expertise that make your work valuable and difficult to copy.
You’ll bring more of your personality and edge into the work, so it feels recognisably yours.
3. The Offer Umbrella
Shape a coherent range of programmes, services, teaching, corporate work, or other routes through which your expertise can reach people.
You’ll develop the delivery structure around your ideas without forcing them into somebody else’s 'online business funnel' template.
4. Visibility and Connection
Stop being your own best kept secret and develop your leadership through speaking, writing, podcasting, partnerships, and community-building.
You’ll build authority by expressing your distinctive ideas, creating meaningful professional relationships, and helping the right people understand why your work can make the difference.
5. Regenerative Momentum
You don’t need to reinvent your practice from scratch every time your work or life enters a new developmental phase.
You’ll create a practical roadmap that keeps the you growing alongside your Leading Practice without allowing it to consume you.
Whether you work independently, inside an organisation, or across both
Our curriculum will give you the tools, space, and support to evolve your practice around the work you most want to lead.
Not only over our 9 months together in the programme…
… but through every new developmental phase of your career.
Here’s everything included when you say YES to the 9-month TPPA group development & implementation experience:
Quarterly Planning Sessions
We’ll kick off the programme (and each quarter) with planning workshops where you’ll use our Regenerative Practice Planning approach to get clear on what you want to create and what steps you need to take next.
You’ll design a flexible action plan for each quarter so you can keep moving without becoming overwhelmed or recreating the treadmill that's kept you stuck
Small Group Mastermind Sessions
You’ll meet via Zoom in small groups led by Wendy Kendall where you’ll share what’s working and what’s not, get guidance and feedback, and walk away with clarity and focus.
Masterminding helps you build relationships with your colleagues and confidence in your capability, while being held through the journey by people who understand what you’re trying to create.
The small group format ensures that you get individual attention and time to focus on your unique needs and goals.
One-to-One Coaching
At three significant points in the programme, you’ll meet one-to-one with Wendy to get her undivided attention on your development and practice.
These sessions give you the opportunity to go deeper into strategy and Inner Leadership, work through stuck points, and stay connected to the direction you want to take.
TPPA Curriculum
The entire TPPA curriculum - including videos and other resources - is available to you on-demand inside the Training Library.
We’ll point you towards the training you need based on the challenges and goals you share in your mastermind and coaching sessions, so you always know where to focus your time.
You’ll get access to every training we create during your time in the programme, with the resources available to support your development throughout TPPA.
Live Inner Leadership Team Masterclasses
These live session go deep into the personal and professional patterns that shape your practice decisions, alongside essential aspects of developing and leading your work.
They help you work with the inner blocks that surface around visibility, uncertainty, professional permission, and leading beyond the status quo.
Weekly Office Hours & Co-Working Sessions
Every week, we have deep-work co-working sessions you can drop into for protected time to develop and implement your work. Perfect for those of us who struggle with isolation or procrastination.
In addition, weekly Office Hours give you support with practical marketing, design, and tech challenges - with accountability and feedback to keep moving ahead and making progress.
You’ll spend the final three months inside the Leading Practitioners Community.
The community phase gives you the opportunity to continue developing alongside TPPA graduates and other experienced practitioners who understand what it takes to lead something original.
It is a professional space where you and your ideas can mature into leading work.
You can test ideas before they are polished, receive thoughtful challenge, build a wider network of relationships, and stay connected to the work when immediate demands begin pulling you back.
You’ll also get access to these additional opportunities
Private TPPA WhatsApp Community
Get access throughout the programme to our private community, where we celebrate each other’s successes, bounce around ideas without fear of judgement, and receive empathy and support when scary challenges pop up.
This is the place where you’ll ask questions and get feedback between mastermind and coaching sessions. You always have support.
This is separate from the Leading Practitioners Community phase included in the final three months.
Community Spotlight Interview
You’ll have the opportunity to take part in a Community Spotlight interview, share your developing work, and help more people understand what you are creating.
Additional 1:1 Sessions with Wendy
Want even more individual support as you work through the programme? You can book additional coaching sessions with Wendy, on top of the three sessions already included, at a rate available only to TPPA participants.

Our next cohort runs October 2026 - June 2027
I launched The Psychology Practice Accelerator in December 2017 and have since supported hundreds of psychologists, therapists, highly credentialed coaches, and facilitators in becoming Leading Practitioners.
It’s genuinely humbling when I hear remarks on the transformation people see in their colleagues after working with us...
“They seem different but like they're even more themselves! They just stand out!”
It’s not about the hype, or even the increase in revenue.
It’s the newfound self-trust, clarity, and courage with which our clients build distinctive practices and bring original work to life.
I love seeing more of their personality and edge come through, and seeing them recognised for work that is genuinely their own.
They’re creating the space for their ideas to mature, and reconnecting with their joy, passion, creativity, and purpose.
I’d LOVE to help you do the same.
Here’s what more of our alumni have to say…
“Three years on, my business is thriving!”
Dr Romy Sherlock, Director and Clinical Psychologist, Retraining Pain
“Having the supportive community is such a highlight”
Dr Hannah Bryan, Director and Clinical Psychologist, The EMDR Supervisor & MindSync EMDR Training
“I joined TPPA because I wanted support in shifting my private practice away from expert witness work, but I lacked the confidence to do so on my own.
Through the programme, I gained the knowledge, confidence and support to develop my new brand "Pocket Family Psychologists" and online offerings like consultations and training programs.
I discovered untapped strengths in creativity and more freedom in my new brand and offerings. The group sessions and retreat provided energy, ideas, and a sense of not being alone in the challenges of private practice.
TPPA is totally worth it for psychologists who want more freedom and flexibility to do the work they're passionate about. It requires courage but the programme provides a supportive network to help overcome fears and learn the new skills you need!”
Dr Andrea Shortland
Clinical Psychologist and Practice Director at Shortland Psychology

Answers to some questions you might be asking:
Should I work with Wendy 1:1 instead of joining TPPA?
Who is this programme the best fit for? Am I too beginner or too advanced?
How much time will I need to devote to this to see results?
What if I can’t attend the live sessions?
How long will I have access to the programme materials?
Do I have to be based in the UK to enroll in TPPA?
I’ve bought loads of courses and never implemented them. What makes TPPA different?
Will you offer this again? Can I join next time?
I still have questions. Can you help?
Every week we’re sharing WINS like these in our Leading Practitioners Community
You and I both know that TPPA isn’t your only option for support in developing your practice and professional direction.
But the fact that you’re reading this means those other options might not have been what you were hoping for.
Here’s how TPPA stacks up against those others (and why it’s the BEST choice…)
Other programmes
❌ Generic online business training that doesn’t take into account the sensitive nature of a psychology-focused business and doesn't understand how to position and package the unique value psychologists offer.
❌ No experience of what it takes to offer psychology-based products and services to corporates and businesses.
❌ Limited support that may leave you feeling confused or overwhelmed as you try to implement on your own.
❌ Lack of community or people who “get” what you’re doing so you feel isolated in your private practice.
❌ Strategies that force you to market your offers or package your products a certain way and leave you dependent on the coach or mentor for growth or change.
❌ Focus on '10Xing your income' or prioritising big external “success” milestones without accounting for the risk of burnout and subsequent loss of time and confidence.
TPPA
✅ Development designed specifically for experienced psychologists and people professionals by a practising psychologist with 30 years of professional experience and more than 20 years in private practice.
✅ Decades of experience creating and selling psychology-based programmes and services to corporate, public-sector, and third-sector organisations.
✅ One-to-one and small-group support to guide you, offer feedback, and help you keep moving for a full 9 months.
✅ Three months inside the Leading Practitioners Community, with the option to continue your membership after the programme ends.
✅ Practitioner-first development that helps you step beyond inherited roles and bring your own expertise, perspective, personality, and edge into the work.
✅ A focus on Self leadership, original work, professional authority, and a practice that can sustain both your contribution and a good life.
✅ Regular implementation sessions give you dedicated mental space to focus and work - with accountability and feedback to keep moving ahead and making progress.
